Garden Festival is an area accessible from a stone statue in Rapeseed Fields.

Map of Garden Festival

Features

Garden Festival is composed of two areas (the entrance and the park) separated by a steel gate and a shrub fence.

Entrance
The entrance is a relatively small area composed of a grass floor with a stone path, benches as well as a few trees and ponds of water, various paintings depicting gardening activities can be found on the fences.
The entrance contains a total of 18 NPCs that appear to be boys (dressed in brown with blue hair) and girls (in red dresses with red bows on their heads).
The NPCs can be seen executing various activities like running around, sitting on benches, running in circles and standing idle.
The NPCs don't seem to react to any effect except for the chainsaw which will cause them to run around fleeing from the player (the ones standing idle will instead start to spin on themselves).
Killing 8 NPCs will cause the area to become gray and change the music as well as lock the steel gate making the main area inaccessible,
all NPCs will dissapear and trying to leave via Rapeseed Fields will wake up the player.

The park
The park is a circular-shaped area much larger than the entrance and is composed of small fields of different flowers and vegetables and similarly to the entrance, of grass with stone paths, benches and ponds of water with lilypads floating on said ponds, birdhouses can be found across the area and do nothing when interacted with.
The same paintings and NPCs as in the entrance can be found in the park.
At the center of the park is a green-haired lady NPC (cannot be chainsawed) in a flower-themed trailer, by interacting with her she will sell random plant-themed consumables for 100夢 (one of the consumables has a chance of being a picture of said NPC).
Killing 10 NPCs in the park will have the same consequences as killing NPCs in the entrance, everything turns gray, the player is sent back to the entrance and the steel door becomes locked, however the player can still go back to the park by using the bat effect, doing this lets the player explore the park while it's grey although this doesn't seem to be of any use.

To the south-west of the park near the rose field, a pink-haired lady NPC can be found seemingly attending to the flowers, she does not react to any effect and cannot be chainsawed, she does however react to two of the three pseudo-effects found in the park.

To the south-east of the park, between the two large ponds of water is a watering can, interacting with it will give the player a watering can and change the border around the player in the menu to a flower-themed one, this pseudo-effect alone does nothing but when interacting with the abfored-mentioned pink-haired NPC while having the watering can effect will trigger a small cutscene where the NPC will leave the flower field and let the player water them. After this cutscene the watering can used to get the pseudo-effect will no longer be available and the pink-haired NPC will have moved to the left of the trailer at the center of the park.

The cutscene can be triggered again by leaving then coming back to the area and finding the watering can again.

To the north of the area a tree can be found with two wicker baskets at it's foot, the basket to the left of the tree has a set of white clothes inside and the one to the right a set of red/brown and blue clothes in it, interacting with the basket on the left will give the player a white maid outfit with a yellow bow tied around the waist and the basket on the right will give the player the appearance of the green-haired NPC at the center of the park, these two pseudo-effect also give the border around the player in the menu a flower-themed appearance.

If the player interacts with the pink-haired NPC after she moved next to the trailer, while having the maid pseudo-effect equipped, it will trigger a short cutscene where the player can be seen dancing at the center of the park surrounded by several NPCs. Once the cutscene is over it cannot be re-triggered by interacting with the pink-heaired NPC but simply by leaving then coming back to the area and triggering the first cutscene with the watering can again then interacting with the pink-haired NPC while having the maid pseudo-effect equipped.

Note that the pseudo-effect giving the player the appearance of the green-haired NPC doesn't seem to do anything.

Finally, near some benches, a doll with a construction sign next to it can be found to the east of the park hinting at a future connection.

Trivia

  • The cutscenes can still be triggered while the area is in greyscale.
