Filthy Mall VM.png Normal

Filthy Mall is an area accessible from Flower Plaza after falling off a ladder.

Features

Filthy Mall is a decaying shopping center that somehow still has some businesses working. The floor, sometimes with missing chunks, is full of scattered boxes, trashbags, cans, and small packets. The walls contain posters with incomprehensible text, sometimes with eye symbols or advertising products; one kind of poster contains an illustration of Flower Plaza's Soap Lady. Beams of light illuminate large circles upon the floor from above. The building is frequented both by humanoid buyers and sellers distinctive by their slender figure, pitch black skin, and white scribbled faces. Upon interaction, these NPCs burst open with a loud popping sound and disappear, only reforming after exiting and entering the world again Popping all 27 NPCs without leaving the world will unlock the "Mall Mayhem" book cover.

Upon arriving from Flower Plaza, Minnatsuki may be dropped on the men or women's restroom, depending on the current Variable 30 value (the women's restroom if it's greater than 128, the men's restroom otherwise). Re-entering either restroom has a 50% chance of taking them to Dirty Hands. It's impossible to determine the floor number as there are stairs going up and down with the first being barricaded by boxes. The floor itself seems to be a small food court, with four sets of tables and chairs and an attendant.

Going down leads to a bigger food court, now with eight sets of chairs and tables and a unique Vending Machine that still works. Each side brings Minnatsuki to a hall full of (mostly closed) shops that ends up in the opposite side of the court. Considering the player takes the west side first, this will be the sequence:

  • The first segment contains an open shop, although empty, and a crack in the wall partially covered by a closed connection sign.
  • The next segment contains two open shops, a fully functioning convenient store with a shopper and a cashier, and the other one devoid of goods. Even though one is functioning, the cashier will react like any other NPC in the establishment, not letting Minnatsuki acquire any of the products.
  • The following segment contains yet another empty shop, now devoid of any creature, and with an open connection sign in the middle of it.
  • The last segment contains another functioning shop, with the same characteristics of the previously mentioned.

South of the main floor area is a broader yet fairly empty store with even more shopping creatures and an unreachable set of two doors, barricaded by trash.

Taking the stairs down leads to the last reachable floor, with the next floor entrance being blocked by a closed connection sign. This floor is small and only contains a hall at the east, leading to a dark doorway surrounded by posters that leads to Blood Drive. Ignoring it is useless as the hall loops endlessy when moving forward; backtracking brings Minnatsuki to the main floor area, though.
