Unaccomplished:Events

Like many other Yume Nikki fan games, Unaccomplished has events for Yin Ming to discover. This article aims to compile a list of the events found within the game, as well as their individual locations, their requirements to activate, and what they may unlock by activating.

A Familiar Face

From a hidden path in Hexagonal Passage, Yin Ming can reach a secret area: one that looks remarkably familiar, though from the opposite side. Stepping forward, the camera will pan slightly farther to see more of the other ledge. Rarely, a ghostly apparition of Qiu Qin or Zabu can appear on the other side.

Beyond the Threshold

In Memorial Candle, a bowl of incense with 4 sticks in it can be found in a circle of red candles. Interacting with the incense causes Yin Ming to step back, as the two center sticks start to burn. Once they reach the bottom, the encircling candles blow out and the screen fades to black. When the screen fades back in, Yin Ming has been teleported to a void, devoid of anything barring a single door. His movement speed is greatly slowed, but there is nowhere else to go but upwards. Yin Ming will knock at the door, and once again the screen will fade to black. This grants the Fu property and its accompanying editor on Yin Ming’s PC.

Chasing Shadows

The first time Yin Ming enters Deep Woods, a mysterious silhouette appears near the entrance. It flees, and can be followed into Dark Cave. Pursuing the shadow as far as it goes takes Yin Ming to a strange cavern.

Maou’s Reward

This unlocks the :D special item; allowing them to accompany Yin Ming during his adventures.

Mossy Rave

In Rainy Mosses is a room with a square hole, similar to the one that triggers the Aztec Monkey Rave in Yume Nikki. However, this event is a bit different: rather than being a full-screen event, the entire room becomes the rave instead.

Whose Bedroom?

At the reward room of PC game, Yin Ming can keep traveling to the right of the screen. As he progresses, the game starts to look more broken and distorted. Eventually a familiar, yet different balcony. The only place he can go is inside, to a similarly distorted corridor, and then to a familiar bedroom. At the opposite end of this bedroom is another Yin Ming, facing away. Interacting with him grants the Classic property. Obtaining this and completing this event also unlocks WuQi on Yin Ming’s computer.

Wipeout!

When jumping down the ramp in Hexagonal Passage, there is a chance that Yin Ming will not make the jump and plummet to the ground. A Game Over screen is shown, complete with a picture of a bloodied rock.

However, this is actually a fake-out: if the player keeps pressing the right directional button, they’ll see Yin Ming emerge from the side of the screen, perfectly fine. Continuing to the right ends with a cone blocking the path, suggesting future development.
