Below is a set of rules to follow when editing this wiki. Editors should be aware of these rules. Administrators are expected to enforce them.
- Keep it civil: Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use any rude or bigoted language. Do not post material unrelated to editing to a user's talk page if they request such from you.
- Be a productive member of the wiki: This means contributing to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Disrupting the wiki with “edit warring” over differing opinions is not productive. Neither is making large or important edits, moves, or reverts before a consenus in the community is reached. Vandalism and spam will result in either a warning or ban depending on the severity.
- Do not self-promote: The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. Social links should only be included in articles where relevant, e.g. for author info, and not presented as an advertisement. Keep self-promotion on your user page at a minimum to avoid being accused of abusing the site for advertising.
- Follow basic guidelines for formatting: There is usually a very good reason why most pages share a common format (for example, location pages using Locationbox). Repeatedly making low-quality edits that ignore these guidelines will result in varying punishment. On all pages, be sure to hide sensitive content, such as spoilers, flashing animated media, and topics that are possibly NSFW.
The Style Guide has detailed instructions on how to properly format wiki content, including naming and displaying media files, using common templates, hiding sensitive content, and more. Following it is highly appreciated, and although it is not a rule to follow it, failing to do so after being directly told to by an editor may be interpreted as vandalism.

Character Images
- All character art must have their original source linked in the caption. Reposts or archives are not permitted.
- Official art of the character is always preferred to fanart, if possible.
- Make sure to always include the sprite using
image2. - In rare cases, the artist may permit their art to be used in the wiki without a source. In these cases, the art can stay without a source linked, but you might want to mention this somewhere (such as an editor comment or in the talk page).
- If the artist requests their picture be removed, the request must be followed.
Soundtrack Pages
- Soundtrack pages must only be created for games with a mostly original soundtrack, not those mostly using free-to-use music.
- If the developer has officially stated somewhere (such as in the readme file of their game) that the assets in it are not to be redistributed, do not make a soundtrack page.
- If the composer of any of the music tracks uploaded to the wiki requests for removal, the request must be followed.
