Yes, the crossing effect was removed from my inventory when I upgraded. It is also missing from the trophy room.
It is just waiting to be reclaimed at its usual spot in Heart World. It's kind of funny to have super-delayed fixes after so much time. Actually, they're fixes that mess up with supposedly functional/stable game parts.
Yet the motorcycle effect issue has not been solved yet (at least for me) *shrugs*
