Both maps are connected now. Fuko San is right, that part of the Chaotic Buildings isn't shut off, even if it is a tad tricky. I managed to go to both of the Deserted Town for an easy access to the Planetarium and the Antenna World to get to the Depths and the Aquarium... It was all to collect eggs and it worked wonderfully.
