You don't need to use the Penguin's slide ability to get down the first slope, it does it automatically. But if you still can't pass for whatever reason, the best advice I can give you is to update to the latest version - .102i. It's still as broken as ever as .102e and f were, but it's the most up-to-date and it works fine for me in regards to that event. 



When in doubt, update it out.
