What is the best Yume Nikki Fangame?
Guys what is the best Yume Nikki Fangame I need recommendations.
I have four major recommendations.
First, Yume Graffiti is one of my absolute favorite fangames. I love the natural and deserted vibes of many of the worlds and the music is the absolute best of any fangame imo. Yomika is my favorite dreamer as well. So many favorites in this fangame. Oudn, this fangame's author, was also an early 2kki dev so if you like his worlds in 2kki, you'll really like this game as well.
WeAreDreaming is one of the newest fangames as of right now and it looks and sounds stunning. There's a good amount of locations to stop and take in the surroundings, and also a few events that are pretty creepy. I just can't give this game enough credit on how beautiful it is!!!
Somnium is less so of a traditional fangame and more so resembles LSD Dream Emulator due to its gameplay loop. There's no nexus, instead you're sent to a random dream world where the goal is to collect memories. Each dream world comes with different "layers" and each layer has its own memory. It's hard to explain. There's a lot of memorable stuff and interactions in this game and I hope you can play it yourself as I don't want to spoil anything. My only gripe is that there's no speed toggle, so the gameplay can get sluggish at times.
Mong Jung Mong has a large amount of unique effects that does not have much of an equivalent in other fangames. It also has a lot of worlds, and there were still some worlds that I did not get to explore before I got all the endings. All in all, it's a really expansive fangame with a lot to do in the dream world.
