I am not sure if it was a glitch or not, but I could modify the multi-colored footsteps into a rectangular-shaped trail (and I could repeat it as many times I needed), by pressing/holding space while the traces are still there

It may not be on the level of MJ's Billie Jean videoclip where the street slowly lights up, but it's nice nonetheless.
