The egg is actually in a completely unrelated area, in a new place called "Scratch" in the japanese wiki. You have to go to the Red Nail Passage in Nail World, find a nail piercing some drawing paper witch transports you to this new place. Then you have to interact with a certain painting that will take you to another area with a white tree, use the Rainbow effect, and interact with a leaf that falls.
