About "5 second waiting", this walkthrough website (http://2nd.geocities.jp/donoidmosiyousareteta/3-24.html) has stated in the Uboa (ウボァ) part that "ドアの上にある電気を消すと、1/64でウボァ。ならない場合、五秒待つか、部屋を出れば、乱数が再計算されるようになる。"(Switch off the light near the door will have 1/64 chance become Uboa. If doesn't, you may wait 5 seconds or exit the room to draw the variable again.)
