Lestharos, in order to reach the Rusted Platform as seen in the image above, you have to go to atlantis trench area. Right above where you first enter the trench area, there is bubbles emerging from the the trench. Though In order to see the bubbles, you have to have the penguin effect equipped. Interact with the bubbles and it will take into the trench. Once in the trench bottom,  just keep going right until you enter a cave. This cave is the entrance to the star ocean. When you are in the star ocean, still keep going right until you reach the far side of the world. you will hit a wall of seemlying impentratable coral. you wll have to find a small passage in the wall that takes into a corridor that ends with a octahedron. interact with the octahedron and the surrounding coral walls will become illuminated. Now head back out of the small passage and cross the now illuminated star ocean  back to near the cave entrance. If you go either up or down from the far left area of the star ocean, you will find a coral mound with  doorway to go though. enter the door to take you to the yellow fleshy mound. Enter the fleshy mound to reach the chromosome passage. From there, just keep going up until you reach a ladder. Then you are have reached the rusted platform.
