I am afraid that we are gonna need some loops...[[User:Smbzfan2|Smbzfan2]] 13:19, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

*The trouble is that we can only upload .ogg files, which don't loop very well, and I don't even know how to make them do that on the embedded player. I guess it would be a decent enough to just loop the .wav files for around 60 seconds then convert them into .ogg. In the mean time, why don't we embed some youtube videos? //[[User:TenhGrey|TenhGrey]] 05:04, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Due to 0.105a update, we need tons of update! Any contrubutions will be appreciated!
OK, when I open up the BGM_036 or the Dream Diary (Working... please wait...) tracks, they sound different than they do in game. It doesn't help that the Dream Diary Theme needs to be converted from the awkward MIDI format that you can't edit with most audio programs.

Here's what they sound like:

BGM_036: [[File:BGM_036notright.ogg]]
Dream Diary: [[File:Dream_Diary_notright.ogg]]

I've tried changing the tempo, pitch, filters and all sorts, but I can't figure out what's wrong with them. Anybody have an idea? //[[User:TenhGrey|TenhGrey]] 22:26, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
==I'm pretty sure 音師竹内 is Otoshi Takeuchi and not Oto Shichiku-nai==
There're those files named otoshitakeuti-ankoku.wav and otoshitakeuti-tikagai.wav which both have 音師竹内 as their author on the Japanese wiki [https://www31.atwiki.jp/sindame/pages/718.html here], with my notes on the pics.

----
By the way, the kanji can be read as Otoshi Takeuchi and Takeuchi is a common Japanese surname.

That version of BGM_36 is considerably less hurtful to my ears.

Anyway, i got the same results as you after the conversion. Guess the convertor messed it up. Midi files are awful.[[User:Smbzfan2|Smbzfan2]] 09:23, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Well, while we're at it, why not translate 音師? As far as I can tell it means "sound artist". (literal translation would be "sound master", but the word follows the same pattern as 画師, which means "painter", so "sound artist" or maybe "sound designer" seems a better fit) //''Cookie Yomeneye, 18.IV.2017''

Alternatively, we could rip it from a youtube video.[[User:Smbzfan2|Smbzfan2]] 15:45, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Hello there. I have been able to record and loop BGM_036 as heard ingame.

I don't know why this happens but sometimes, locations where you can get musics do not match with those ones where BGMs are actually used. I think we should mention which musics do not match.
It looks like a list of official names for 16 Yume Nikki's soundtracks ([http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00KH4ETXS Amazon] ).[[User:Maqinor101|Maqinor101]] ([[User talk:Maqinor101|talk]]) 04:13, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
*Official? That's kind of a contentious issue as far as Yume Nikki is concerned. At any rate, a reliable translation of those names would be good to get a hold of.[[User:TenhGrey| // TenhGrey]] ([[User talk:TenhGrey|talk]]) 14:39, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, it's gotten kind of frustrating at this point. How, exactly, do people implement those little music players directly into the page in the "listen" column? Because I've seen so many people do it and I have absolutely no idea how to do it because none of the various editors seem to have any means of uploading images, plus this is one page that I ''really really really'' don't want to become source-locked when using the Classic Editor (which I use because locationboxes are inconvenient with the Visual Editor), because that seems to happen literally every time I use the source mode on the Classic Editor.

Can anyone show me how exactly people implement those? Because I've tried so many times and I'm getting kind of frustrated at this point. [[User:Lips McGee|Lips McGee]] ([[User talk:Lips McGee|talk]]) 22:27, July 27, 2018 (UTC)

<h3>Answer</h3>
<br />Personally,  I add those by using source mode.

First, I [[Special:Upload|upload]] the audio file I want to use, then I add this line:

'''<nowiki>[[File:(Name of the file)|noicon]]</nowiki>'''

The "noicon" eliminates a info box which appears below the music player.

Now, the table used in the Soundtrack page works like this:

|- ''                                                    (Adds a new row in the table) ''<br />|kappa_08                                      ''(Track name)''<br />|<nowiki>[[Gray Relic World]]</nowiki>                       ''(Location/event)''<br />|<nowiki>[[File:Kappa_08.ogg|noicon]</nowiki>]        ''(Listen)''<br />|                                                      ''(Notes)''

There should be more efficient ways to do this, but this is how I do it. Also, I don't actually know how to do it correctly by using Visual mode.

Sorry if this doesn't help you. I'm pretty bad at explaining things. [[User:FukoSan|FukoSan]] ([[User talk:FukoSan|talk]]) 00:33, July 28, 2018 (UTC)

Is it possible, by any chance, to get the old versions of Oudn's songs on here? I remember the Pastel Blue House and the Bug Maze having loads of different music before the complete redesigns. Any way we can add those to the unused section? [[User:GreenToxic|GreenToxic]] ([[User talk:GreenToxic|talk]]) 22:38, December 27, 2019 (UTC)

It is indeed possible, but requires a lot of work. If you or someone can make a list of the music we need to add with details about where to get it (Version, area and name if possible) or when it was deleted, it will be easier to do.

Personally, if you give me that info I can record and upload the files.  [[User:FukoSan|FukoSan]] ([[User talk:FukoSan|talk]]) 20:17, December 28, 2019 (UTC)

In-page music players

Okay, it's gotten kind of frustrating at this point. How, exactly, do people implement those little music players directly into the page in the "listen" column?
