[[Category:Kontentsu]] The Bright Forest is an area accessible from the Solstice Forest.

    Features

The Bright Forest is a forested area, with trees slowly changing the color of their leaves. Rainbow plants and algae can be found across the area.

A small, black cube with a red outline can be found in the area, being able to appear in five different locations, which gets randomized when the area is entered from the Solstice Forest. Interacting with this cube leads to the Rainbow Ruins.

Aditionally, a mushroom-like creature can be found at the east, hidden in between the trees. Interacting with this NPC will intermittently cover the screen with static, before changing the area to a deteriorated version of itself, where the rainbow algae is replaced by red flowers and red, smiling faces. A red head can be seen rapidly moving in the background, while the static keeps appearing in the screen repeatedly. In this state, there's a 1/35 chance that the creepy music of the event changes instead to the Smiley Face DECK music, but only for a couple of seconds before reverting to the original track. Going back to the Solstice Forest or finding the cube that leads to the Rainbow Ruins stops the event.

    Rainbow Ruins

The Rainbow Ruins (かがやく森, Kagayaku Mori) is a large, open area with the same algae and plants from the previous section. Many cubes with faces and other figures can be found decorating the area.

An entrance can be found northwest from the entrance, which leads to a sewer-like passage called The Gutter (側溝, Sokkō). A blocked culvert can be found in the center of this passage, which can be opened by using the Chainsaw effect, leading to a path blocked by barriers. Going instead to the right of the sewer-like passage will tint the screen red, before leading to the City of Liars (嘘つきの街, Usotsuki no Machi), a red, foggy area surrounded by black and red water. Red lamp posts and structures can be found in the area. The rest of the world is currently blocked by a barrier.

Aditionally, a purple door can be found to the south and slightly right from the entrance, which leads to small area with five doors, similar to a nexus. Only the door in the center can be opened, leading to a bedroom, where a blue-haired girl has a 25% chance of appearing. This is decided when the bedroom is entered from the nexus-like area. A dark balcony with a pink background can be found at the south of the bedroom, where a puddle of pink blood can be seen.

    Directions

After entering the Solstice Forest at least one time:

    Trivia

    • The blue-haired girl is called "???-tsuki" in the files of the game. Many alternative sprites of her can also be found.
    • The blue-haired girl can also be found together with the NPC from the bedroom in Lovesick World by using Debug Mode in the area accessible from the culvert located in The Gutter.
