Cerasus:Events: Difference between revisions

As in many Yume Nikki fangames, Cerasus has many events that can be found throughout the Dream World. However, Cerasus is unique in that these events often contain dialogue, helping to form a vague picture of different real world events in Reshnha's life, and the aims and views of some characters found in the Dream World.
This list of events is not in any particular order. Some events do require specific effects or notes in order to be found. Please note that most of these events are not officially named.

Stomidori's Slam Poetry Performance

Location: Dead Techno Fields

Summary:

This event will begin right after collecting the Mushroom Effect from the Mushroom Lion. A TV screen will fade in, displaying a stage that Stomidori will walk onto, and perform a poem-like speech.

Audio, Video, Disco.
Those were the words of the one, the words of many.
From a rotting corpse, everyone rises.
For tomorrow, everything returns.
The universe always spins, running so it doesnt freeze.

Audio, Video, Disco.
Souls and ideas are like fungi:
you cannot kill them in a way that matters.

Trivia:

Stomidori's stage uses the same tileset as the Candy Spades Club.

The Monarch's Hair

Location: Fruit Fields

Summary:

Interacting with the rambutan tree and collecting the Rambutan Effect will trigger this event, with B.P. appearing behind Reshnha to speak. A conversation will ensue.

B.P.: The only way to avoid the guillotine is to remove your own head yourself.
It is not your fault if you refuse. 
But you've done that before.

R: But, rambutans are peeled, not split open.
Despite it all, I know my odds.

B.P.: Look at the tree behind you.
The old woman had short hair, then your dad had long hair, and your hair, it's a curiosity that escapes me.

R: Peasant Father, Noble Son, Monarch Grandson,
My family is not your issue. Put your nose somewhere else.

B.P.: Bye.

Unlocks: Rambutan Effect, Message #10

Execution Exhibition

Location: Suit Cave

Summary:

After entering the small hallway and following B.P. into the exhibition room, Reshnha will be locked into the room, evidenced by him hitting and shooting the door. He will have the suit effect equipped, even though it isn't officially collected yet at this point. He will remark "I guess it can't be helped." and head down into the room to the victim, surrounded by many headless suited men in chairs. Reshnha will then look around and say "Please forgive me, it'll be quick" before shooting the victim. Clapping will be heard, and then the entire room will go dark, except for the spot where Reshnha stand. B.P. will emerge from the shadows to the left, and a conversation will ensue.

B.P.: Your nonchalance, it sickens me.
You know you died that day. 

R: I do, it happens.

B.P.: How many times have you died, Reshnha? 
Have you, have you even forgotten?

R: I don't remember inconveniences.
At this point I might as well forget your face.

B.P.: So be it. Enjoy your death.

Hijacked Future

Location: Pastel Future City

Summary:

At the very end of the Pastel Future City's path is a silhouette that Reshnha will automatically back away from and charge towards, pushing it off the edge once it is approached. The screen will fade to black, fading back into an image of B.P. surrounded by pastel-colored shapes, flowers, and a full moon. B.P. will then begin speaking.

Trivia:

When looking into the files used for this event, B.P.'s sprites are curiously named "BPMeetingThemself".
B.P.'s speech sounds can be reversed to reveal they are speaking the words seen here. Although, it seems the TTS software is speaking with an accent, or it was written to sound more unintelligible. Listen to it here!

Human Flesh Rumination

Location: Computerium

Summary:

Interacting with the flesh filled computerium will cause Reshnha to muse outwardly, followed by Stomidori appearing behind him and beginning a short conversation.

R: There's not much difference between this and me.
Well, there is a more than a fair few differences.
But that's neither here or there or anywhere.
This was me once and then I stopped posthaste.

S: It goes like this:
Through Machine, Unity, Through Pain, Shared via social media.
And in his bafflement the machine composed
������ �� ��� �� ���

R: I get you. I get you really badly.
Also, why are you not facing me?

S: Zoop.

R:I said, why are you not facing me.
...
Whatever.

Trivia:

While in-game, the line after "And in his bafflement the machine composed" is written entirely with the special character "�" as the game does not support the special characters used to write it. However, pasting it as plain text where it's characters are supported, it reads "𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓻𝓽𝔂 𝓕𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓪𝓷 𝓪𝓵𝓵".
