I think that the Japanese name here is not correctly translated - this appears to be the Exhibition of the *Sun*, not the Day. The kanji 日 most commonly means sun but its original (and occasional in Modern Japanese) meaning is sun, and the paintings exhibited, including the one of a kanji, are all of the sun. 04:08, 14 May 2023 (EDT)
