Upside-down Forest World is an area accessible from the lantern clusters in Hot Air Balloon World and the Bug Maze.

Features

Upside-down Forest World, as its name implies, is a world in which most of the environment is flipped. The trees, shrubs, and telephone poles are all upside-down, though only the trees seem to have retained collision. Some of the shrubs seem to be sentient, as they will turn toward Urotsuki and produce a sound upon interaction.

Following the path northeast from Hot Air Balloon World, it forks north into an open area and further east into the barren trees. Continuing through the trees, the path splits again, and going northwest leads to a Sierpiński triangle that connects to Foundation Passage. Going further northeast instead leads to a large, broken clock. Interacting with it leads to Collaged Charcoal World (after visiting that world once).

Further south from Collaged Charcoal World, there is an arrow-shaped Teleport Rune that leads to Heart Maze. The path above Heart Maze's entrance ends at a couple of cones; equipping the Stretch effect makes a strange thing appear near the cones.

To the east of Heart Maze, there is a staircase that descends into the FC Basement. South of Heart Maze, the path snakes down to a bench and a tunnel to Withering Plains.

By heading southwest from Hot Air Balloon World, one can encounter a line of trees. Where the barren trees meet the green ones, a path leads to a staircase that places Urotsuki atop Concrete World (after visiting that world once). Further south along the line of trees, one can find two paths: one leading to the entrance of Collaged Charcoal World, and another leading to the rune that connects to the Aquamarine Cave (after visiting that world once).

West of Hot Air Balloon World, there is a rune within a group of trees that connects to Farm World (after visiting that world once). Northeast of it, there is a lantern cluster that connects to the Bug Maze. Northeast of the Bug Maze entrance, one can find a rune leading to Clawtree Forest.
