The Namekuji (蛞蝓, Japanese for "slug") are decorative NPCs that appear throughout Forest World.
Overview
The Namekuji resemble long ghosts or slugs (hence the name) with drool dripping from their mouths and onto the ground. There are two variants that appear through Forest World: a light-pink variant with maroon drool and white eyes and a purple variant with green drool and yellow, lashed eyes.
As they are decorative characters, they do not react to any effects and are completely immobile. However, when interacted with, they appear to hover above Madotsuki, wiggling above her until she enters a new area.
Trivia
- Normally, any of the purple Namekuji can be paired with either a pink Namekuji or another purple Namekuji to hover over Madotsuki. The only purple Namekuji that can not be paired with a pink Namekuji is the one south of the Forest World Nexus door, which will replace or be replaced by a pink Namekuji upon interaction with one.
- Additionally, unlike the purple Namekuji, two pink Namekuji can not hover over Madotsuki at a time. Interacting with any other Namekuji while a pink Namekuji is hovering over the player will either reset the Namekuji (when interacting with another pink Namekuji) or pair it with a purple Namekuji (when interacting with a purple Namekuji).
