It is a large, white creature that appears to be quite threatening, but like many of the larger characters in Yume Nikki, does not interact much or pose any threat to Madotsuki.
The Thing with the Quivering Jaw is a decorative character found in the White Desert Mountain Ring.

It has a large, amorphous body with four indeterminate limbs, a large eye and an appendage that appears to be a large, quivering jaw or mandible that makes a constant rattling sound. On its underside are five long hairs or tentacles.

The Thing with the Quivering Jaw is a large, white, quadrupedal creature. It has short front legs and no back legs, instead merely having stubby feet. A leg sprouts from its back, resembling a tail, and a veiny arm emerges from the back of its head. It has large black eyes and a prominent jaw that constantly quivers as it gnashes its teeth. It has black chest hair, in the same grey color used for its teeth.

The Thing with the Quivering Jaw does not move (except for its quivering jaw) or interact with Madotsuki. The jaw can be stilled using the stoplight effect. ==Interpretation==
Accompanying the Thing with the Quivering Jaw is an eyelike projection from the ceiling leaking white liquid and a Choshu Head resembling the Buddha.
The Thing with the Quivering Jaw is quite an imposing character that many players find frightening or unappealing. Its deformed body structure with the sharp teeth make for a sudden fright when the player enters the room. Its lack of movement also puts players on edge, as it seems to be about to attack.

The door to the room is part of a large mutilated head consistent with many parts of the white desert that have body parts emerging from the floor. In this room however, the sprite creates a slightly different image that looks as if it may be part of a person that was killed and being eaten by The Thing, but was interrupted when Madotsuki appeared from the remains of the body.
Although the Thing with the Quivering Jaw may appear threatening, it cannot harm Madotsuki. Madotsuki can freeze its jaw by using the Stoplight effect, which also stops the sound. It can also be stabbed with the Knife effect, though it cannot be killed. It does not react to any other effects.

It may have a connection with Monoko, since they both are in the White Desert and have multiple deformed arms (including the arm in the head, with the noticeable vein).

The Thing with the Quivering Jaw is a decorative character found in the White Desert Mountain Ring.

Overview

The Thing with the Quivering Jaw is a large, white, quadrupedal creature. It has short front legs and no back legs, instead merely having stubby feet. A leg sprouts from its back, resembling a tail, and a veiny arm emerges from the back of its head. It has large black eyes and a prominent jaw that constantly quivers as it gnashes its teeth. It has black chest hair, in the same grey color used for its teeth.

It can only be seen by entering a manhole with a red tentacles emerging from it in Dense Woods B. Once the manhole is entered, Madotsuki will come across Manhole-sama before entering an isolated ring in the White Desert B. Continuing onward by entering the Choshu Head leads to the Brain Creature, and going further eventually leads to the Thing with the Quivering Jaw.

Accompanying the Thing with the Quivering Jaw is an eyelike projection from the ceiling leaking white liquid and a Choshu Head resembling the Buddha.
