Turns out the teleport is influenced by seasons, see screenshot:
The game checks whether the current season is fall or not, and if it is, it randomises the variable no.0015 from 0 to 5, and chooses Maple Shrine if it's 5, and if it's not currently fall, it randomises from 0 to 15 instead, and chooses Maple Shrine if it's 15.--Toimine (talk) 14:36, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
