Yume 2kki:Authors

This page lists the architects of the dream worlds, so to speak, and a brief description, as well as information on which maps they have made and relevant contact information.

Authors are categorized as such: core and associate. The former are the main Japanese team members, who can contribute to the game directly, following reservation and runner declaration protocols. On the other hand, the latter are authors foreign to Japan, subject to proxy implementation protocols.

The Six-Month Rule is an agreement between the authors, that if an author fails to update within six months of their previous update, then their maps may be freely edited by other authors (unless otherwise specified). The rule is reset when they update again. It's a pretty good litmus in determining whether an author is active.

To see when an author was last active, please check the Version History or check the changelog.txt file included in the main folder of the game.

A

A is responsible for only two areas: Graveyard World and the Hospital.

HAL

HAL, from whom Smokin' HAL derives his name, is responsible for the Digital Hand Hub, Stone World, and Geometry World.

20 has requested all edits, regardless of how small, to his maps to be described in detail, and to be bug free.

20, also known as Twenty, is a former director and the creator of dozens of worlds in the game. His best known are Japan Town, Marijuana Goddess World, Monochrome Feudal Japan, the Underwater Amusement Park, The Docks, and the Sewers, among many others. Dedp is a prolific author still active in the development process, known for using edits of publicly-submitted assets in his worlds. kuraud

kuraud is an active author in the development community. Kuraud is the one who initially added many of the events in Urotsuki's real-life bedroom, including the addition of the Computer and the Game Console. In addition, he created Toy World, the Red Brick Maze, the Mini-Maze, the French Street, and the Day & Night Towers, among others. He also created the Penguin minigame. Sabamiso (鯖味噌) created a small number of worlds: the Shinto Shrine, The Circus, and Monochrome Street. They also created the fangame Hallucigenia (ハルキゲニア).

oudn

185 Go (百八十五号, No. 185) is responsible for the "deep-sea series" (as he put it), starting with the southern part of Atlantis and moving down the trench through Star Ocean and terminating at Rusted City. He is still active in the development process.

Zenmaigahara has requested that any new outfits in the dressing room be unable to be removed from the area.

Zenmaigahara (ぜんまいヶ原), better known for their popular Yume Nikki fangame Yume Nisshi, has created Visine World, Guts World, Cutlery World, Fabric World, Urotsuki's Dream Apartments, and the Plated Snow Country minigame.

Uwonozoki (うをのぞき) created two worlds: Fountain World and the Boogie Street. Aside from these, the most well-known of their contributions is the Apartment Amoeba.

They also made a Yume Nikki fangame called Yume Aruki.

wataru

Wataru (わたる) was the most prolific author on the team, with eighty maps in total, having created a myriad of worlds with largely soft post-apocalyptic themes. These include the Overgrown City, Rose Church, and Depths. For the full list, see here. Wataru is also responsible for the implementation of the Egg collectibles. In recent versions, most, if not all, contributions done by Wataru have been scrapped (with the exception of menu themes and wallpapers, which have all been repurposed).

Spelude has created multiple worlds, most famously the Red Lily Lake and the now-removed Butterfly Forest. She was also responsible for bringing back the Fantasy Library. Spelude has also created multiple music.

Ca (Calcium) is the creator of the Maple Shrine.

Yeris

Yeris (イェリス) is an author who created a number of worlds in a short period, notably Pencil World and Binary World, and is still active in the team. See here for more. They are also the creator of Yume Tsuduri.

Mosenite

Mosenite (モセニテ) is the creator of Bridged Swamp Islands, The Ceiling, Lotus Waters, Seaside Village, the Cultivated Lands, the Rapeseed Fields, and the area of the same name.

Mike

Mike (みけ) is the author of the Red Rock Caves.

G-Seeker

G-Seeker (Gシーカー) is an author who created the Dream Bank around 0.103g, only to leave the project very soon after.

natl

natl has requested all edits be well-documented.

Natl expanded on the Cyber Maze and created worlds such as Florist, Dream Mexico, and the Cocktail Lounge.

310 of the Twelfth Room

310 (12部屋目の310) has no worlds, but is instead one of the most prominent programmers and the author responsible for maintaining much of the events that occur in the waking world, such as the Kura Puzzles, Urotsuki's computer, and the Music Room.

Anon

Anon (アノン) is most well known for making the Buried City and the Burial Desert. They also created the Industrial Tower and the Chaos Exhibition, as well as assets for spelude's Vase World.

985

985 is the author responsible for the Lavender Temple and the Galactic Park. They have recently created the Jade Sky Hamlet and The Slums.

Kuroku

They have stated others can freely add connections to their worlds.

Kuroku (黒九) is the author most known for adding the Dojo, for which they have periodically released patches to update its content and art. They also made the DNA Room and the Green Tea Graveyard.

juda

juda is the author whose work is characteristic for its highly limited use of color, only using three or four individual colors on each object. They created the Scorched Wasteland, Paradise, Ice Floe World, and Mangrove Forest.

kappa

kappa is a recent author who created the Container Forest, Gray Relic World, and the Escalator. In addition, they have events to their name in GALAXY Town and the Hand Fields. For a full list of their maps, see here.

shigurin

shigurin is responsible for the Strange Plants World, the Underground Laboratory, the Polluted Swamp, the Despair Road, the Rooftops, and the Monochromatic Abyss, among many others. She also helped noildoof, another recent author, add her worlds.

2i9 is a recent author most well known for worlds that evoke the fear of disgust, such as Whipped Cream World, the Butterfly Passage, and the Mutant Pig Farm, though they have worlds in other styles such as Sea Lily World. A full list of their content can be found here.

light is a recent author who added the House Over the Rainbow, the High-rise Building, and the Head World.

VANEGI

VANEGI is the composer of two of the BGMs in Urotsuki's PC, and is also responsible for creating the Matoran Keyboard and the Dining Hall, an addition to the Bathhouse.

ROKU95 is an author known for their unique art style with softly blurred assets and bits of extraneous color embedded within otherwise ordinary tiles. They created worlds such as the Frigid Meadow, Psychedelic Stone Path, Negative Space, and Rocky Cavern. Their other worlds can be found here.

Nantai

Nantai (軟体, Soft Body, which appears to be associated with molluscs) is responsible for plenty of areas, such as Rainbow Tiles Maze, Tangerine Prairie, and Golden Pyramid Path.

Associate Authors

Associate Authors are authors that cannot directly add their worlds to Yume 2kki due to being non-Japanese speakers, or having no posting access to 5ch due to lacking either a 5ch premium pass or a Japanese IP. These authors' worlds are only added with the help of their proxies, the core authors.

noildoof

noildoof, from the US, is the first Western author to add her worlds to Yume 2kki. She has cited the fellow author wataru as a main inspiration. Her worlds consist on heavy use of pastel colors and detailed pixel art with memorable NPCs in them. She is one of the most prominent Western authors, and created worlds such as the Tesla Garden, the Blue Cactus Islands, the Graffiti City, and more. A full list of her worlds can be found here.

Ruri

Ruri (ルリ) is a former author from the US. Her worlds are very detailed and different with each other, that were located all over the dream world. Controversy related to her and the Japanese community led to Ruri deciding to remove all her work from Yume 2kki, in favour of Uneven Dream. She created the now-removed Crystal Caves, Nightmarish Wilds, TV Labyrinth, Chemical Research Facility, and Volcanic Subterrain.

Río

Río is a Chilean author, whose work is inspired heavily by the work of the fellow author wataru in both spriting and world design, though with a considerably warmer tone overall, with a more varied set of creations and a more painterly aesthetic. Most of his worlds are located in world complexes deep within Urotsuki's mind, as well as composing some of the music for his worlds. He is responsible for worlds such as the Silent Sewers, Tomb of Velleities, Forgotten Megalopolis and more. For a complete list of his areas, see here.

nulsdodage is a South Korean author. Prominent to his work is more technically advanced works and puzzle based areas, he also has also been fixing bugs and making sure the worlds of the most recent authors contribute to things like the Map Completion rate and the Music Room. He is the responsible of the Data Stream, along with the GB Tunnel sub-area in the Monochrome GB World.

Lemniscate

Lemniscate is a Canadian author, whose style is characterized by the heavily detailed panoramas, as well of his use of colors prescent in his world, usually blue and pink. He is also known to make the music of his worlds. There was some controversy related with the old BGM of Ether Caverns, that used to be a remix of a track from the game LSD Dream Emulator, which lead to 2i9 deciding to stop being his proxy, making Lemniscate very unlikely to update the game in the future. He is responsible for the Holographic Chamber, Ether Caverns, and the Fluorescent City.

Sniperbob is an Israeli author, whose style is characterized by very simple and scribbly looking artstyle, as well on a focus on body horror in them.
