The world's aesthetic is very similar to that of the [[Alien Cellar]], complete with the color scheme and the strange machines, but considerably glitched-up and distorted. Strange blue tears are visible in the stones of the ground, and the world is overlayed by a sweeping scanline effect along with a staticy humming. Occasionally, the cute sound effects of Urotsuki's jump will glitch out, being replaced with glitchy sound effects. Rarely, going through the doors will lead to a small room where the platforms gradually disappear, where all the screen's edges loop around. Going through the door here will take you to whatever room the player is supposed to enter next.

    Features

The FC Caverns is an extremely unique area among all of the worlds in this game, as it does not play out like a typical exploration-based RPG, but rather more like a movement-heavy platformer, akin to Super Mario World.

The world's aesthetic is very similar to that of the Alien Cellar, complete with the color scheme and the strange machines, but considerably glitched-up and distorted. Going through the door here leads to whatever room the player is supposed to enter next.

The area is split up into two separate sections. The first one is a linear platformer to the left, though there's a bit more exploration to be had: by using the Penguin and Fairy effects in tandem, the player can dive under the water here and explore the underwater caves. The second, accessible from a door in the first, is an area where Urotsuki climbs vertically, looping around the screen. Climbing to the very top will lead to a door to the Flooded Dungeon.

    Effect

Almost all the effects have a different behavior in this area. While some allow Urotsuki to interact with the world in particular ways, others are purely decorative.

    Effects with special interactions

    Effect Sprite Interaction
    Bike
    PlatformBike.png
Allows Urotsuki to move faster, but jumps slightly lower than with other effects.
    Fairy
    Qxy pic2D 05 L00.png
Allows Urotsuki to float in water and to slowly elevate when in water. It also allows to fly outside of the water by repeatedly pressing the interaction key, and in addition allows Urotsuki to fit through spaces that are only one block tall.
    Twintails
    Platformtwintails.png
Allows Urotsuki to jump against walls by holding the interaction key, along the key corresponding to the direction of the wall.
    Spacesuit
    Qxy pic2D 06 L00.png
Can slowly float when in water and outside water by holding the interaction key.
    Eyeball Bomb
    PlatformEyeball.png
Allows Urotsuki to return to the Nexus by holding the interaction Key. It can't be activated in water.

    Trivia

The one other NPC in this area, shown in the first image of the gallery, appears to be a reference to VVVVVV, a platformer with a similar aesthetic to this area. Similarly, the red-and-muted-pink colorscheme of the area, as well as the overall glitchy aesthetic and 2-dimensional movement are highly reminiscent of the game Strawberry Cubes.
