Yume 2kki:Red Sky Cliff: Difference between revisions

>~Star Child~ Lapis Lazuli
(So, I decided to create this because, at this point, this really felt like a wholly separate world. Since it was considered part of the Fantasy Library but only it is currently accessible, i considered them separate.)

The Red Cliff () is a small area accessible by repeatedly chainsawing Ninetails in the Butterfly Forest.

Features

The Red Cliff is accessible from the Butterfly Forest, from Ninetails. If you cut off six of her tails, attempting to attack her a seventh time will teleport Urotsuki here.

The area is a small white stone cliff, with a deep, thick red sky cast overhead. A clone of Urotsuki stands at the edge of the cliff, looking over the edge of the cliff. If Urotsuki walks up to and interacts with her clone, she will push her off, with a short falling sound and a loud "thud" shortly after.

After pushing her clone off the cliff, Urotsuki will refuse to leave the area except by walking over the edge of the cliff herself. When she lands, she will wake up on the floor in the Red Lily Lake, with the area tinted red. While falling, a dark sihouette of Ninetails can be seen.

If, instead, however, Urotsuki uses the Invisible effect to make her clone disappear as well, she can walk straight through her and jump off the cliff first. Instead of leading Urotsuki to the Red Lily Lake, Urotsuki will fall into the Splash Streetway.

If Urotsuki triggers the event in the Red Lily Lake where she is attacked by a shadowy creature after killing the candle NPC in Neon Candle World, she will be trapped at the bottom of this very cliff.

Splash Streetway

The Splash Streetway is a small sub- area, with a noticeably strong pastel pink tint. Strange clouds will float through the air throughout this area.

The first screen features an overlook to the Twin Mountains. The only way out is to the east, where Urotsuki will encounter a four-way crossroads. Heading south at these crossroads will lead Urotsuki to the island in Constellation World.

Urotsuki will refuse to travel north or further east if you attempt to make her do so; in both cases, she will make one of her "don't/no/can't" sounds. However, if the player repeatedly insists she travels north, there is a random chance that upon interacting with the northern border, the screen will fade to black, and the sounds of a dreadful traffic accident followed by the siren of an ambulance can be heard. Afterwards, Urotsuki will wake up with a start.

Trivia

  • The music used in the Red Cliff itself, spelude-13, and the music in the first screen of the Splash Streetway, spelude-13-1, share a leitmotif. This makes spelude-13 and spelude-13-1 the only (implemented) songs to share a leitmotif besides the title theme and computer theme.
