The Sofa Room (ソファ, Sofa, Sofa) is a small area accessible from the Mirror Room.
Features
The Sofa Room is a small area, with a tileset and panorama resembling those of different versions of the Nexus. Most notably it is filled with dozens of chairs, benches, and as the name implies, sofas, each of which resemble those from the various areas all around the Dream World.
Here is a list of the various sofas, and the worlds they originate from:
- The yellow coral stool from the Sea Sponge Path
- The chairs in the Waiting Room in the Hospital
- ((wip))
In addition, the world also contains two NPCs, both cat- themed. One of them is a black cat that will appear on one of the chairs/sofas, chosen at random, and the other is a cat-person NPC that randomly- and rarely- appears. Both meow upon being interacted with.
Directions
Urotsuki's Dream Room → Mirror Room → Old Train Station B
Trivia
- This world is possibly meant to parody, or otherwise parallel, the ordinary Nexus. Alongside the similarity in tileset and panorama, the world is also suggested to be a hub world, due to the sofas from various worlds throughout Urotsuki's dreams. It's also accessible from an area that literally mirrors Urotsuki's Room.
- The world's tiles attempt to create a popular pattern of squares that completely fills a rectangle with no gaps. Each of these squares has a Fibonacci Number as its side length- and as such, the sides of the rectangle are a good approximation of the Golden Proportion, a proportion of sides believed to be aesthetically pleasing to the human eye. The attempt is mostly a success, but it's not possible to draw a spiral through the squares as you usually can because the smallest five squares are flipped upside down.
- The humanoid cat roughly has a meager 1/8 chance of appearing when you visit the area. As you have a 1/5 chance of being able to come here at all, that means that the overall chance of being able to meet her is roughly a minuscule 1 in 40 every dream session.
