[[Category:Horatsuki]] The Atelier is a location initially found through an entrance in the Execution Ground after entering a pink door found at the end of the Graffiti Corridor.
Features
The Atelier is quite a large area adorned with red carpets and is reminiscent of an art gallery, featuring numerous works of art resembling the ones found in Portrait Purgatory, with many others depicting existing worlds seen throughout Yume 2kki, including Water Lantern World, Shell Lake, Omurice Labyrinth, Forest World, Scarlet Corridors, Green Neon World, Red Rock Caves, and Dream Park. One area also has three sculptures of creatures on display. Numerous shadowy figures are seen viewing the artwork, but vanish when touched.
A large dining hall (located between paintings of the moon in Eyeball Archives and Dream Mexico) and library can be found here, as well as a seemingly endless, featureless hallway that doesn't appear to lead to anything. There is a 1/10 chance that as you go through this hallway, a door will appear on the northern wall, leading to a gallery with paintings of Lotus Park and Sunken City with a portrait of a strange monochrome creature in the middle with black or white outlines. Interacting with it will make Urotsuki jump into the portrait, leading to the black or white variant of Duality Wilds. Strangely, you cannot use the Tissue effect in this world.
By entering the door north of the three sculptures, you can also find a room with a Shadow Lady looking at a portrait of herself in Forest World. When chainsawed, the music will stop and the screen will become tinted red, after which she will become insane and begin chasing the player; the portrait's background will disappear with the insane Shadow Lady in its place. If caught, the player will be trapped in that very same portrait, and will subsequently wake up a few seconds later.
Travelling upstairs and above the dining hall between two more paintings depicting the skies of the Day & Night Towers and part of the Dojo, one can find a bedroom with a painting of Water Lantern World within, inhabited by a blonde girl in a red beret, who will turn to look at you if you use the Telephone or Bug effect, and run away if the Chainsaw or Marginal effect is equipped. To the right of her bedroom door is a pair of gendered bathrooms, where Urotsuki may use the women's room as normal or the men's room with the Boy effect. If the blonde girl is killed, the lights in the Atelier will dim, and most of the doors will become locked, preventing you from exploring most of the area. If you try to re-enter the Atelier through the Execution Ground's Graffiti Corridor after killing her, you can trigger the Cursed Corridor event that occurs there.
By taking the stairs and traveling further right, you can open a door which will lead you to to Portrait Purgatory, but it must be unlocked by entering through the opposite side.
Directions
Nexus → Heart World → Tricolor Passage → Mask Folks Hideout → Cactus Desert → Execution Ground → Atelier
Trivia
- The painting in the blonde woman's room used to be that of Water Lantern World before it was later changed to a depiction of the Pastel Sky Park.
