    Features

The Sofa Room is a small area, with a tileset and panorama resembling those of different versions of the Nexus. Most notably it is filled with dozens of chairs, benches, and as the name implies, sofas, each of which resemble those from the various areas all around the Dream World. Sitting on the chair that was used to enter the area will take you back to the Mirror Room.

Here is a list of the various sofas, and the worlds they originate from:

    Sofas Locations
    Sofa1.png
Urotsuki's Dream Apartments (that also served as the entrance to this area prior to the removal of this connection)
    Sofa2.png
    Urotsuki's Room
    Sofa3.png
    The Nostalgic House
    Sofa4.png
The House of the Angel Priest in Fountain World
    Sofa5.png
    Tapir-San's Place backroom
    Sofa6.png
Respectively the Theatre, Yume and Oni Musume's seats from the Dark Room
    Sofa7.png
The little boy's bench in Blue Forest
    Sofa8.png
    Jade Sky Hamlet
    Sofa9.png
    Various locations
    Sofa10.png
    The Sea Sponge Path
    Sofa11.png
    The Hospital

In addition, the world also contains two NPCs, both with common features: cat themed, and with yellow and blue eyes. One of them is a black cat that will appear on one of the chairs/sofas, chosen at random, and the other is a cat-person NPC named Noraneko-kun who appears when variable #44 has a value 223 or above. Both meow upon being interacted with.

    Trivia

    • This world is possibly meant to parody, or otherwise parallel, the ordinary Nexus. Alongside the similarity in tileset and panorama, the world is also suggested to be a hub world, due to the sofas from various worlds throughout Urotsuki's dreams.
    • The world's tiles attempt to create a popular pattern of squares that completely fills a rectangle with no gaps. Each of these squares has a Fibonacci Number as its side length, and as such, the sides of the rectangle are a good approximation of the Golden Proportion, a proportion of sides believed to be aesthetically pleasing to the human eye. The attempt is mostly a success, but it's not possible to draw a spiral through the squares as you usually can because the smallest five squares are flipped upside down.
    • Before version 0.113, this area connected with the Mirror Room. After the removal of wataru's areas, it became inaccessible. The area got finally relocated to Urotsuki's Dream Apartments, with a new set of unlock conditions. It acted as a one-way connection from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments to the Mirror Room until the connection from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments was removed in version 0.119e Patch 3.
    • The connection from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments used to be unlockable by visiting the Hospital, the Dark Room, Atlantis, Tapir-San's Place, the Blue Forest, the Sea Sponge Path, the Nostalgic House, the Fountain World (Inside the angel's house) and the Jade Sky Hamlet.
    • After the removal of wataru's areas, Menu Themes were moved outside of these areas to make them accessible. As such, until version 0.119d Patch 1, a green gift box could be found in a brown sofa, which was located northeast from the entrance. Interacting with this box unlocked the Menu Theme #13. It was a replacement of the Menu Theme located in the Bioluminescent Cavern, as an egg, which can now be found there.
