"I think I fell out of my bed again. Must've been the spicy french toasts I had for supper."

Reshnha(resh-ni-ah) is the protagonist of Cerasus, a tall, middle-aged male dolorian with mint green skin, long bright red prehensile hair, and often found clad in monochromatic pink hues. He seems to have a calm, unflinching, cold, and blunt personality, shown by his interactions with different characters found throughout the Dream World. Trapped within the Dream World itself, the game revolves around him, his life, and his journey throughout it in order to escape and return back into the real world.

Biography

A very rough timeline of Reshnha's life can be assumed while viewing the surreal events that occur during Cerasus, as many of these events are meant to represent real world events and memories in Reshnha's lifetime. This timeline is subject to change, and may include wrongly inferred details.
It seems Reshnha may have begun life as a human, judging by how he can be seen holding his own human head after a specific dialogue from Wire-Man in the Industrial Tubes, and his conversation with Stomidori in the Computeriums. Not much is known about his family, though it is interesting how he refers to his grandparents as peasants and his parents as nobles during The Monarch's Hair Event. It is also worth noting the NPC Grandme found in the Arms Labyrinth, though it is unknown whether or not the two or even related.
It seems that his early adulthood was spent as a professor of history at a high school, seen through various details found in the Abandoned School, not to mention his classroom. It seems during this time the Dolorian-Human War was reaching a turning point as his students were killed or turned into dolorians as a result of the war.
At one point either before or after this, he must've met Lawry and become a thief. The two seem to have gotten very close during their time together. How long this lasted however, is unknown as at one point the two were captured with Reshnha being left behind while Lawry escaped, as seen in the NAME PENDING event. Reshnha only managed to escape with the help of Lee Monia, but at the cost of becoming a part of the Dolorian Mafia. However, it seems he may have plans to leave, as shown by dialogue said by Lee.
Now in present time, Reshnha is stuck in the Dream World after being kidnapped by B.P. for currently unknown reasons. Perhaps more will be revealed in future updates as the game's development progresses.

Relationships

In general, his reputation is incredibly diverse. Some characters regard him with respect, kindness and fondness, others become hostile, and some regard him as an intimidating and dangerous force to be reckoned with.

B.P.

His kidnapper. They seem to not only have a strong hatred for Reshnha and his actions, but Reshnha's family as well. Even so, their intentions are still pretty vague. It is yet to be seen exactly why they decided to kidnap Reshnha into the Dream World.

Stomidori

The strange Dream World denizen trying to help Reshnha return to the real world. They are apparently familiar with Reshnha's grandparents.

Lawry

His former partner in crime. It is clear that he was incredibly close and important to Reshnha.

Lee Monia

The one who rescued Reshnha from being executed, but also caused Reshnha to join the mafia. Lee has a clear respect towards Reshnha. However, it seems that much of that is derived from fear of what he believes to be Reshnha's plan to eventually leave the Dolorian Mafia. Nonetheless, the two seem to be friends.

Taryna

A colleague of Reshnha's, most likely part of the mafia as well. She seems to have strong feelings for him, though if he is aware or reciprocates is unknown.

Owen

His current, for lack of a better word, employer. Reshnha seems to have vague future plans that may not end well for him...

Gilbert

Seems to be a good friend of Reshnha's.

Arca

Seems to be an acquaintance, most likely considering her ties to Owen.

Trivia

  • His name is derrived from the Slovak word for cherry, "čerešňa".
  • Has apparently stuck his head inside a giant rambutan fruit in the real world, based on dialogue by Lee and an in-code reaction by Taryna.
