What I Do Here in the Wiki

I focus primarily on non-descriptive contributions to location pages such as the info used in the Locationbox template.
I'm also applying the style guide when it comes to links for the Uneven Dream wiki at the moment because uh...
I also contribute Annotated Maps sometimes as well as the respective World Maps pages. I did most of the maps for nostAlgic.
I'm a programmer in Python, PHP and Javascript so I like to automate and create tools for repetitive tasks whenever possible.
I have plans to automate BGM contributions this way but it will take some time before the tools are ready for the public
I will probably contribute to all namespaces except for Yume 2kki, Cerasus and Yume Tagai. If it's in YNO I've probably played it.

Yume Nikki Lore Briefing

Played Yume Nikki for the first time back on March 11, 2011 (yes, that's the exact date) under the Uboachan fan translation.
Not one to indulge in fandoms for the most part, so I never had any involvement until now.
I somewhat regret it I somewhat not, young me would've probably made things uncomfortable at times.
Finding renowned interest in the game and its fangames now, so I'm thankful to the community and to finally be part of it.
Gobou's rendition of Monoko is a precious child. I would take a bullet for her (no not really lol).

About me, myself and I

Copy paste from my Steam profile as it's as much as I want to say:

I go primarily by Nada Afterwards and undefined (uncapitalized), I keep my real identity detached from the internet as much as possible.
I would describe myself as level-headed and over-analytical, often reserved, but can still monologue for a long while.
I do not like to associate with fandoms or attach closely to groups, I value personal and private interactions more.
I can natively speak Latin American Spanish, I am fluent in English and intermediate in Italian. I want to learn French and German.
My patience is thin to the short minded, the infuriated and the immature. I do not tolerate assumptions taken as objective truths and facts.
I like die-cast cars, video analysis, online mysteries, criminal psychology, lost media and exploring music genres.
My favorite video game genres are co-op and rogue-like. I love Serious Sam games for the gun play.
I am probably old enough to be your dad (27).

Not a social media guy so Steam and Discord are your best bets to reach out to me.

Maybe I will make a neocities or a tumblr in the future.

Projects & Contributions

  • Made the Yume Nikki mod for Crypt of the Necrodancer in 2015 or so, where you get to play as Madotsuki, Poniko, Mafurako and I forget who else. Has some NPCs and Madotsuki's armors are based on the effects. Severely outdated now... I never updated the mod for the Amplified DLC and now there's the Synchrony DLC. Maybe one day.
  • Similarly, a never-released never-finished mod involving .flow's Sabitsuki was started by the request and collaboration of another player. The sprites are available on my Steam's artwork page for anyone who wishes to bring the mod to fruition, no need to credit me.
  • Working on recreating selective dream worlds from several fangames using Tower Unite's condo building feature (2024). The project started with the idea "what if Sunset Cliff from Muma | Rope were in 3D? That'd be pretty cool!", shifted on recreating more 'horizon-themed' scenery and now it's a full on 3D recreation project. But only for selective worlds as I said, reconstructing entire fangames would be way over my head. Kind of wishing I had done this in Unreal Engine 4 itself rather than a commercial game that's expensive and about to die, oops...
  • Making some tools to automate the process of adding BGMs to the wiki. From extracting the information from the game files, to editing the audio file and then uploading and editing the wiki.
  • Planning to give RPGMaker 2k/2k3 a try since I bought the software for the previous project. If I'm comfortable with it I'll give game making a try, I got a semi-conceptualized idea for a YN inspired game with a more traditional fangame which would follow if all turns out well.

I'm leaving 2kki for last for two reasons:

  • Massive scale: Playing it essentially blind from the start today is overwhelming. So I'm playing the most approximate version I would've played back in 2011 had I understood how to get the game running.
  • Inspirations: It has come to my attention a lot of fangames get inspired by 2kki, a lot of players also have played 2kki first so the impressions they get is "this is like x in 2kki". I want to experience things in the reverse order, check as many 2kki inspired things while being unaware and then see if I can look back when I play the game.

Alas, my idiot child self did not understand the difference between RPGMaker itself and its runtimes so I never played any significant amount of fangames back in 2011.
I also used to refuse to use Japanese locale so that left me with two options. Until I discovered YNO and overcame some nonsense elitism about never playing fangames.

Okay you can leave now.

BUH-BYE!!
