Blackout House is an area accessible from the main floor in Urotsuki's Dream Apartments.

The Blackout House is a large, maze-like area containing various kinds of furniture, along with eye markings on the walls and puddles of blood on the floor. It is initially pitch black and requires the Lantern effect to navigate. The Lantern has a narrow range here, though pressing the action key will create a temporary circle of light to grant greater field of vision.

There are two Shadow Ladies in the area, who will chase Urotsuki and teleport her to an isolated section of Crossing Thickets if they make contact. Because Urotsuki can only see a Shadow Lady when it comes into the range of the Lantern, it can be difficult to react in time. One strategy for avoiding them is frequently switching between the Lantern and Invisible effects, as they will not see you while the latter is active.

An electrical box can be found in one of the corridors. Interacting with it will illuminate the entire area, as well as remove the Shadow Ladies and horror elements. This is permanent and persists between dream sessions, though Urotsuki can interact with the box again to turn off the lights. There is a 2% chance of triggering a wake-up event each time Urotsuki interacts with the electrical box.

Starting from the door to Urotsuki's Dream Apartments, the most direct path to the electrical box is:

1. At the first junction, go as far north as possible and then make a right.

2. Walk along this path. When you see a very narrow corridor leading south, avoid it and keep going right.

3. At the end, you will find a very narrow corridor leading north, which will take you to the electrical box.

There is also a construction sign at the end of one of the corridors near the entrance. It is a standard yellow sign when the lights are off, but it is replaced with a red construction sign when the lights are on.
