[[Category:Kontentsu]] The Statue Forest is a location accessible by interacting with one of the portals located in the northern area of the Sugar Road.
Features
The Statue Forest is a thickly forested, mazelike area. The area is dotted with various bizarre sculptures of cubes, nondescript creatures, and abstract shapes. Many hidden passages among the trees can be found at certain points, which allow us to reach deeper or hidden sections.
Following the path from the entrance, a road division can be found. Going south from here leads to a dead-end where a cubical structure can be found, along with a vending machine, while going to the right eventually leads to a small portion of water with more paths to follow. A hidden path can be found at the left of this small portion of water, where a orange creature stuck to the ground can be found, which makes a telephone sound on interaction. Interacting with another green creature with a similar appearance unlocks a connection between both creatures, serving as a shortcut.
Going to the right instead leads to a circular and apparently dead-end section, where an unreacheable, closed-off entrance can be seen. A hidden passage located at the center of this circular section can be accesed from somewhere at the bottom of the perimeter. Following this path eventually leads to a section with two paths to the right blocked by barriers, cones and constructions signs, and another path to the south, where a yellow tentacle with red spikes on the back. Interacting with this tentacle from the bottom allows access to the Monster's room. Inside this room, there's another tentacle with the same colors as the one previously can be located, bringing the player back to the forest. Following the wooden passages and passing another passage blocked by barriers and signs eventually leads to another path division, with one to the right sorta hidden to the right, and another to the north. Two gray, cubical structures can be found to the north, along with an entrance similar to the ones we have already seen at this point. Entering this entrance leads to a monochrome tunnel, which serves as a connection to the Submerged Communications Area. Following the right path leads first to a green creature with one eye, floating in water and then to a green creature, which, on interaction leads back the hidden section with the orange creature previously deescribed, unlocking the connection between both creatures. Going back to the right from here leads back to the three-way road separation with the source of water in the middle.
Going north instead from the source of water leads to another apparently blocked path, where going to the right from below the red and blue sign leads to a hidden path with a series of bridges and statues. A long bridge with purple planks with construction signs at the sides is found at the end of the road, allowing entrance to the Dreadful Docks.
Directions
- Nexus → Red Streetlight World → Bleeding Heads Garden → Alien Valley → Butterfly Passage → Whipped Cream World → Overgrown Condominium → Sugar Road → Statue Forest
Trivia
- The monochrome tunnel used as entrance to the Submerged Communications Area was once used as a transition room from the Chaotic Buildings to Transmission Tower World, when those areas were still in the game.
- Due to some graphics and ideas, this area seems like an homage to the Forest Pier and consecuentially, to some of the forest-themed areas in Yume Nikki like the Dense Woods and Witch's Island.
