Shitai-san (死体さん, 'Mr./Mrs. Corpse', pronounced more like "shee-tai" in regular speech) is a character found in Madotsuki's dreams.
They are found on The Road section of Dense Woods B surrounded by traffic cones. Interacting with them gives you the Stoplight effect, it is an obvious reference to traffic accident deaths.
Using the Cat effect near them causes them to twitch unnervingly.
Shitai-san is one of the most popular NPCs in Yume Nikki and is commonly believed to be a man in fandom. Some fans cosplay as them and there is even a 'Shimeji' of them.
Trivia

- Most fan-made images of them show him sad, probably a reference to the traffic accident they were believed to be killed in.
- Unlike most NPCs, they can not be killed, possibly because they are already dead.
