So are we ever going to update the win10 install instructions?

Just taking another look at them now, they seem straightup wrong. I'm not sure I should be the one to write it considering I haven't installed the game on win10, but anyway the main problems that are readily apparent to me are -

  • step 4: Go to Control Panel → Clock, Language, and Region → Language. On the sidebar, click "Change date, time, or number formats." Go to the Administrative tab and then choose "Change system locale" (the last option). Set the language Japanese (Japan). (Note: You must be logged in as an administrator on the computer to make these changes.)

Which, if i'm not mistaken, is completely redundant if you are installing locale emulator in the first place, because that's yknow, what it's for. emulating the locale so you dont have to change the entire computer's locale.

  • and step 5: Install the RTP here (Mirror). Extract the files if it is a .zip file, or follow the on-screen instructions if it is an .exe file. In the RTPセットアップfolder, follow the on-screen instructions for RPG2000RTP.exe. No additional preparation is needed for the RTP installation.

Step 5 doesn't state to run the RTP THROUGH locale emulator, which is likely responsible for alot of the RTP crashes people seem to consistently report, since win10 isn't new or whatever anymore.

I think I'll modify the RTP part anyway, but if anyone using win10 could confirm whether the system locale thing is redundant or not, it would be helpful.
