In the Tribe Settlement, one of the NPCs next to the big torch in the middle will always give you money when you chainsaw it. He respawns if you walk in/out of one of the huts, so it's an easy way to get money.
Or if you have the key to the developer's room, there's an NPC in there that'll give you 1000 money. And there's a slots game you can play.
