1) The portal to the theater world is removed, check your version maybe? Shield Owl World is still here . It hasn't been tampered with. Red Streetlight World and Theater World are the only ones who have disappeared temporarily from the Nexus. I have .102i with the hotfix patch and I don't teleport anywhere when stepping on the empty space.
2) Whether or not a world was useful or had nice teleports is in the end, subjective. It's not really worth an argument. But quantity over quality or quality over quantity has to be considered, too. If it was Red Streetlight World that was just taken out in .102i and Theater World that was just brought back, our reactions would surely be different.
