Apple Prison is an area accessible from Nefarious Chessboard.

Features

Apple Prison is a very small looping area featuring a giant apple imprisoned inside a cage. Four arrows point at it from four directions. Three smiling TVs sit on the west, south, and east of the cage. These TVs will not react to any effects, and will only laugh at you if they are interacted with from the front.

A moving smaller apple wanders the area. Interacting with this apple will take you back to the Nefarious Chessboard. If you equip Red Riding Hood effect, the apple will be trapped in the cage.

There is a way for you to get locked up inside the cage. Go left, and continue until you pass the cage 9 times. On the 10th time, stop just in front of the eastern TV and do not go past it. Next, go down and continue passing the cage 43 times. On the 44th time, if you did the first step right, you will be teleported into the cage from where you can go back to Nefarious Chessboard if you equip Red Riding Hood effect and interact with the apple inside there.

The same code that triggers the shoe on the barricades and construction sign from Worksite works in this world, but has a different outcome. By going Down → Left → Right → Up → Up → Left → Interact, you will trigger two apple chasers that will send you back to Nefarious Chessboard when they catch you. However, if you are inside the cage, the chasers will not be able to get to you.

Trivia

  • When spoken aloud, the Japanese name of this world, 檻ンゴ, is a portmanteau of "檻 Ori" (cage) and "りんご Ringo" (apple). This configuration gives 檻 the suffix "ンゴ -ngo" , which is internet slang that is added onto a word or sentence to comedically denote the subject's failure or misfortune (such as, perhaps, being an apple that somehow ended up in a cage)
