Numeral Hallways is a world accessible from Check-Disk Nexus. It is similar to Yume Nikki’s Number World.

Features

Corrupted

Map of Numeral Hallways' Corrupted Version

Upon first entering the world, it will be in its corrupted state. In this form, it will have a white background with a border of black squares, like the Check-Disk Nexus, and contain several tiles from the main area scattered around. Some numbers and spheres also float around, sometimes glitching and gaining the appearance of other things.

Going northwest from the entrance, one can find a floating computer file icon. Interacting with it plays a sound and causes a textbox with squares in it to appear, then sends Urotsuki back to the Check-Disk Nexus, outside the new door to this world. From then on, this world is in its Restored state.

Restored

Map of Numeral Hallways

In its restored state, this world is made up of several rooms and hallways. The walls are colorful, containing abstract shapes, along with some pink blobs with faces. Some white tiles with animated black squares on can be seen, as well as many numbers of different colors. Some spheres float around. Near the entrance, a group of 1s and 0s can be seen making up "1:00", with two stationary spheres as the colon.

North from the entrance is a sphere blocking a doorway. Chainsawing it and then walking in takes Urotsuki to a room filled with spheres similar to Yume Nikki's Stabbing Room, with one lurking outside in the void. A single solitary lamppost can also be found here.

East and slightly south of the entrance is a pair of lampposts. Walking between them transports Urotsuki to a passage containing several lamps and spheres. At the end is another pair that leads to Vibrant Lamppost World.

At the south end of this world is a small crevice in the wall, that seems to lead nowhere. There is a blue number above it, which changes when using the Chainsaw effect on the bottom wall of the opening.

Variable #44 divination

At the north end of this world, several numbers surround the door to Check-Disk Nexus. These can be used to deduce information about Variable #44's current value. The meanings of each number are as follows:

Variable #44 divination
North Northwest Northeast West East South
None NOT 120-134 19 or lower 49 or lower 0 0 6 or lower
1 N/A 20-69 50-99 1-49 1-39 7-17

9 N/A 230 or higher 175 or higher 255 242 or higher 177 or higher

*There is currently an issue where a 7 in the east measures across two separate ranges of numbers (200-209 and 210-219).

Trivia

  • If your Variable #44 value contains 28 (so 28, 128, and 228) the number 28 will appear in this world. This easter egg pays homage to a recurring number in Kontentsu's worlds that became well-known among the Yume 2kki community.
  • This is the only world in the Check-Disk Nexus sector to not contain a file in its restored state.
  • Before version 0.122d patch 2, the room filled with spheres could not be returned from.
  • Before version 0.122d patch 2, the northwest number for the Variable #44 divination used to display the value of 7 as 6.
  • Before version 0.124f patch 2, chainsawing the bottom wall had a chance to reroll Variable #44. The number randomises every time you chainsaw, and if it turned to 3, that meant that Variable #44 had been changed. Using this method of Variable #44 rerolling preserved certain things, such as Bat warps and the current in-game season. This was removed so that Variable #44 becomes a true per-dream constant.
