Dropfish is an NPC found in the The Docks A.
Overview
Dropfish inhabits the waters of the Docks, making its body only partially visible. It sports a droplet-shaped head and sticks a smaller part of its body above water, resembling an arm or tailfin. The lower part of its body is dark purple while the rest of its body flashes between cyan, blue, and purple. It sports strabismic, pink eyes as well as a drooling mouth.
Dropfish can only be attracted by Cat effect and stopped when using Stoplight effect. Like other water creatures, it can't be reached, thus it can not be killed with the Knife effect.
Trivia
- Dropfish's appearance is similar to the Slime monster from the Dragon Quest series. As Yume Nikki appears to be inspired by several NES/Famicom games, with the original Dragon Quest game releasing on said console, it's likely this resemblance is intentional.
- It shares this distinction with the Pain Blob.
