Strober (also known as Sotoburu by some fans) is an effect NPC that can be found in the Docks B.
Appearance
Strober appears to be a tall and skinny figure, largely resembling a human. Their body flashes red, pale pink and purple. They hold a round object that is light yellow in color, which they appear to be eating.
Interaction
When Madotsuki interacts with Strober, they give the Fat effect. Otherwise, they do not do anything else when interacted with after the effect has been obtained.
When the Cat effect is used, their color changing speed will double, though they will not be dragged towards Madotsuki. When the Stoplight effect is used, Strober's flashing colors will stop and they also appear to stop eating the object they hold. When stabbed with the Knife effect, their color changing speed will decrease to a third of the original speed before they disappear.
Trivia
- In previous versions of the game, the Fat effect was found by interacting with a funhouse mirror in Hell instead. This mirror was removed and replaced by Strober in v0.10.
- The graphics for the mirror can still be found in the files for v0.10, despite being replaced, and the mirror itself can be found in the Debug Room.
