Abandoned Internet Cafe found by going through the door at the bottom of Long Staircase.
Features
Entering the Abandoned Internet Cafe, Yin Ming is greeted by a cluster of trash cans. Going around them and heading down the corridor, the main rooms of the cafe are found. It is a dimly lit space filled with disconnected wires, PC monitors and ergonomic chairs. Occasional spots of graffiti and posters can be spotted.
If PC Game has been visited before, the second computer screen in this entry corridor will display the blue screen of death: similar to the connection found in Tetris Puzzle. Interacting with this screen will start a similar cutscene and take Yin Ming to PC Game- serving as a shortcut.
From the "main room" of the cafe, two other corridors can be found (besides the Long Staircase entry): one is found towards the bottom, and another in the upper-left corner (slightly obscured by a pillar). The upper-left path winds back around and continues in an eastward direction (as indicated by a graffiti arrow). If Yin Ming continues walking down this corridor, he will see the design of the building shift tiles, indicating arrival to the Exhibition Hall. The southward path leads out to the Street area; though the cones found here suggest that the upcoming area is still in development.
Usually, there is not much of interest to be found here yet; however, there is a chance (determined upon falling asleep) that some oddities can be found on certain monitors. A PC found on the lower row in the "main room" might flash black-and-white; southwestern from this location, another PC may have a teal screen (the default Windows 95 desktop?), and the cluster of computers preceding the corridor to Exhibition Hall might have a figure on it (which then spreads to nearby computers if approached). Each instance has a 1/5 chance of occurring, though they will not appear concurrently (i.e., if you see the black-and-white screen, it is impossible that either of the other two will appear at the same time).
Directions
Mind Nexus → Emoticon Playground → Long Staircase → Abandoned Internet Cafe
Trivia
- The occasional pop-ups on the computers are based off of real-life viruses and trojans:
- The flashing black-and-white one is the "You Are An Idiot" trojan
- The one that infects nearby computers is the "Panda Burning Incense" virus
