Staircase Suburbs is an area accessible from the white door with the intersecting staircase design that appears in the Nexus after collecting 15 effects.
Features
The world is made out of disjointed platforms connected by various stairs. Some platforms resemble roads, while others appear to be made from building interiors (floor tiles and hallways). The platforms also may have guardrails, traffic lights, pedestrian signs, and/or a green chain-link fence.
Upon entering this world, rain starts to fall, though the weather here can be changed (with either the Ice or Faucet effects).
Traveling upwards from the entrance will take Shimitsuki to a long strip of road with many pedestrian signs; at the center of the row is a grey door. This leads to a small room with an additional set of doors across the entrance. Going through these doors takes Shimitsuki to a room with a single scroll on the wall, bearing the mi (み) kana. Interacting with this (familiar) scroll reveals a hole behind it, which is a one-way to the Ninja's Room of Japanese Castle.
