Human Mesa features a desert with various prints and rocks.
Equipping the Youth or Spectral eidola here will cause the background music to begin to lower in pitch before changing to a different track entirely. As this change in music occurs, the world will be rendered in sepia tone, and a large number of slender, shadowy creatures of various shapes known as Mayotta-chan will appear throughout. These creatures cannot be interacted with, and Minnatsuki will phase right through them. Unequipping the aforementioned eidola will, shortly afterwards, cause the Mayotta-chan to disappear, as well as the music and visuals to return to normal.
There is a large anglerfish lure that can be found protruding from the sands near the southwestern corner of the world. Approaching it will seemingly cause the time of day in the area to become night. Moving far enough away from it will likewise cause it to be daytime again. Interacting with the lure will play a cutscene in which the enormous fish it is attached to will rise out of the sand and eat Minnatsuki. This will transport Minnatsuki to a room filled with various three-dimensional shapes and an open connection sign.
Towards the northern reaches of the desert, the sands will give way to rockier terrain, before this too is interrupted by a sharp drop-off, offering a view of the dunes in the distance to the north. Rising amidst these dunes are tall mesas bearing human-like features known as Kowareta-sama. Interacting with any point along the land's northern edge will cause the camera to pan upward, allowing for a more complete view of the Kowareta-sama. When the camera has finished panning upward, pressing the interact key again will cause the camera to pan back down to Minnatsuki.
