Strober (also known as Sotoburu or Fatsoto by some fans) is an effect NPC that can be found in The Docks B.

Overview

Strober is a tall, skinny figure that largely resembles a human. Their body flashes between red, pale pink, and purple as they appear to be eating a round object that is light yellow in color. Interacting with them will give the Fat effect.

A red, strobing creature.

While they are immobile and can not be moved with effects, they still show some reaction to them with their flashing speed. For instance, their color changing will double in speed when the Cat effect is used, and it will slow down before they die when stabbed with the Knife effect.

Trivia

  • In previous versions of the game, the Fat effect was found by interacting with a funhouse mirror in Hell instead. This mirror was removed and replaced by Strober in v0.10.
    • The graphics for the mirror can still be found in the files for v0.10, despite being replaced, and the mirror itself can be found in the Debug Room.
