Trivia
- Unlike Yume Nikki and many of its fangames, in which the minigames are credited either to the game's developers, or a fictional, in-universe game development company, ZApNeF is the dreamer's own production.
- ZApNeF's concept is much older than Someday itself; it was conceptualized around as early as 2006, and was originally planned to be a Flash game.
- There were features that were planned, such as a powerup that allows the player to swing across certain spots, and barriers that open if a certain number of enemies have been dispatched. The former was discarded given RPG Maker's limitations.
- Originally, ZApNeF had a backstory in which the protagonist was a hydrogen atom with four electrons - a key to a new form of renewable energy, where a virus is attempting to destroy the computer where it resides in.
