The Magic Nexus (formerly known as the Verdant Nexus) is an area accessible from a pair of purple doors in Lavender Office.

Features

The Magic Nexus is a small looping area containing several objects that serve as connections to other worlds, as well as multiple types of construction signs, indicating more connections to be added in the future.

Depending on the value of Variable #44, The Magic Nexus will change its appearance:

If Variable #44 is less than 128 (i.e. The Nexus is gray), the area will be green with a flower background. If it is more than 128 (i.e. The Nexus is blue), the area will be purple with an axolotl and tanuki drawing as the background.

As of right now, this place contains:

• A rotating construction sign that leads to Construction Sign World.
• A set of purple double doors that lead to Lavender Office.
• A translucent, smiling white cube that leads to Playbox Passage.
• An aquamarine door that leads to Tranquil Park.
• A translucent snow globe that, when the Rainbow effect is equipped, becomes filled with a shifting rainbow that leads to Rainbow Snow Plateau if this world has been visited from said area already.
• A rotating diamond that leads to Vantablack Isles.
• A flashing, colorful door that leads to White Pillar Docks.
• A patterned door that leads to Knit Plains.
• A white door with black musical notes on it that leads to Musical Note Maze.
• A blue arm-patterned door that leads to Azure Arm Land.
• A flashing smiley face that leads to Tiled Canvas.
• A scarecrow that leads to Rice Paddy.
• A spinning flame that leads to Fire World.
• A floating cloud that leads to Cloud Haven.

Trivia

• Before version 0.125 patch 8, this area was visually similar to the Mini-Nexus, albeit using a different tileset. Both of these areas are based on earlier versions of The Nexus.
• This area was originally intended to look like The Nexus. It was scrapped since it was too large and The Magic Nexus initially lacked connections.
• According to Stheven's development footage, this area originally had blue coloration, with the background having a gradient of light blue and green. At some point this was changed to the current iteration.
• This area used to be named "Verdant Nexus" prior to 0.125h patch 1.
