Card Carving Cavern is a looping, labyrinthine world which consists of a sprawling network of purple-and-gray walkways that reaches across an otherwise featureless black void. These walkways are decorated in a stripy zigzagging pattern. Thick slabs which take the shape of French playing card suits are scattered across the maze, typically oriented upright and coming in various sizes. As in a typical playing card deck, the slabs shaped like spades and clubs are black in color, while the heart and diamond slabs are red. There are also a number of plain rectangular slabs that can come in either color. Some of them have cracks in them, and others still appear to have been in the process of being carved into the shape of a suit before being abandoned. Indeed, there are sculpting tools that can be found littered upon the various walkways.
