See also: subarea - chaser
- An NPC that chases the player, and upon "catching" will usually trap the player in a chaser trap, or perform another undesirable action such as sending you backwards or stealing money.
- chaser trap

- dream world
- The dream world is a general term for all the locations accessed by the game's method of entering the main gameplay loop, usually sleeping. Some games can have more specific terms and different methods: for example, Collective Unconscious involves entering a spirit world, and .flow involves entering a flow state. The counterpart is real world.
