Silkworm Forest is an area accessible from the bedroom in Tricolor Room.
Features
Every time the area is accessed, you can get to one of the following versions of the area:
- An area completely filled with mulberry leaves.
- An area completely filled with partially eaten mulberry leaves.
- An area inhabited by Silkworm-like creatures, the ground is partially covered in what appears to be silkworm thread.
- A similar area like the one previously mentioned, but there's no silkworm thread in the ground.
- An area full of what appears to be silkworm cocoons.
In two of the five variants, the area will be inhabited by silkworms, interacting with them won't do anything. However, they can react differently to a variety of effects:
- Chainsaw: The silkworms will attempt to run away from Urotsuki. You can kill them as normal, with a chance of giving you money.
- Plaster Cast: The silkworms will slowly approach to Urotsuki.
- Lantern: Urotsuki will burn down the silkworms, killing them. You can also burn them while they are still cocoons.
- Bike, Insect, Wolf, Teru Teru Bōzu: The silkworms will look away, apparently in fear of Urotsuki.
- Red Riding Hood, Cake: The silkworms will stay in their places, closing their eyes.
- Grave: The silkworms will become transparent.
If you previously killed the girl in the isolated room where you entered from in Tricolor Room, all the areas will appear in a monochromatic state, this, however, can be reverted by getting caught by the Chaser in Red Lily Lake.
Directions
Nexus → Urotsuki's Dream Apartments → Tricolor Room → Silkworm Forest
Trivia
- According to an author's note found in the RPGmaker editor, this map appears to illustrate the life cycle of a silkworm.
- The fact that the silkworms approach Urotsuki while Plaster Cast is equipped can possibly be a reference to the fact that silkworms have lots of different uses in medicine, such as skin aging prevention, infant convulsions, etc...
