There are quite a lot of beds in Yume Nikki. The first is her real bed, that Madotsuki sleeps inorder enter her dream world. In her dream world there are 5 main beds. One of these beds will transport Madotsuki to the Staircase of Hands when slept in, and the others will do nothing. The bed that acts as a transport is randomly selected each time Madotsuki enters the dream world. The only way to access the Underground World and Mars is by decending the Staircase of Hands.
