Each time the world is entered, there is a 1/10 chance to hear the sounds of a bell. When this happens, there will be an NPC in the well. If one has a coin to give, the NPC will take it and flip it. If successful, the NPC will disappear and a ladder will permanently appear, which leads to the Quiet Path.
