Square Garden is an area accessible from the cubic topiary tree in Hall of Malignant Statues.
Features
Square Garden is a non-looping world of boxy hedges and topiary trees.
In the northeast corner of the world is a tree on top of a pedestal, which connects to Hall of Malignant Statues upon interaction.
West and slightly north of the Hall of Malignant Statues connection is a white door which connects to Linked Rings Passage.
Taking a winding pathway from the north to the southeast will lead to white double doors which connect to Arch Apartments, and at the end of this path to the west is an open connection sign.
The red demon in the black clothing who wanders this world, Darcy, will, upon being killed with the Soulfire eidolon, reappear as a shadowy, translucent figure near the Linked Rings Passage connection. They will chase after Minnatsuki in this state, moving at a very high speed. Additionally, while Darcy is in this hostile state, the double doors that ordinarily connect to Arch Apartment will be boarded up and inaccessible. If Minnatsuki is caught by Darcy, they will be sent to an isolated section of this world which takes the form of a square-shaped loop of pavement, where Darcy can be seen sitting on a topiary, just out of reach, laughing at Minnatsuki. However, if Minnatsuki instead avoids getting caught, and escapes through the connection to Hall of Malignant Statues, which now has another shadowy and translucent Darcy sitting upon it, the I've Been Known to Waltz event will activate. Completing this event will send Minnatsuki to the same isolated section within Square Garden that getting caught by Darcy would send them to, only instead of laughing, the Darcy sitting on top of the topiary will stare ahead blankly.
